´╗┐Income Tax Assistance

Since 1991, Saginaw County CAC, Inc. has assisted low-income individuals and households with tax forms and returns. Funded under the Community Service Block Grant through the Department of Human Services, CAC files the following types of tax returns:

  • Federal
  • State
  • City
  • Home Heating Credits
  • Homestead Property Tax Credits
  • Prescription credits

Saginaw CAC's tax preparers have both previous experience and updated training tax preparation, with refresher courses and knowledge of applicable changes for the tax forms. Returns are filed electronically, and direct deposit is available. Saginaw County CAC provides this service beginning in February and ending April 15th of each year.

Eligibility criteria are:

    If your income is less than, or equal to, the highest income shown for your household size in any table, you are eligible.
  • Saginaw County Resident

  • Proof of income
  • Service is provided on a first come, first served basis
